Gompas Galore

Founded in the 14th century, this is the first gompa in Ladakh known to have been constructed for Tibetan monks.

Currently unoccupied, the palace overlooking Leh was built in the 17th century.

Originally built in the 10th century, this gompa has been destroyed and rebuilt numerous times. Awesome setting, and a great place to spend the night.
